AMC Raises $13,000+ for Those in Need

The Alden Men's Club held their annual Rummage Sale on Saturday, July 26th, 2014 and raised over $13,000! The proceeds from the sale will provide financial support for food pantries in Kalkaska, Rapid City, Bellaire, Mancelona and Ellsworth. This sale was the culmination of thousands of man-hours that started last October. During that time, members of the AMC collected and sorted donations of furniture, kitchenware, household goods, artwork, tools, yard equipment and even a sailboat.

The AMC holds various events during the year to raise money for those in need. The events include the annual Sarhatt Golf Tournament every June in Kalkaska, the Rummage Sale in July and a Harvest Dinner in October (these two are held in Alden). Additionally, they host Coffee Concession Stands during Kalkaska's Trout Festival, Bellaire's Rubber Ducky celebration, and the Iceman Bicycle Race from Kalkaska to Traverse City.
